The P/N on the Dip Stick: DOAF-6750-D. Originally the prior owner installed a 70 Torino 302, not sure if it came with the front sump? Several years later I installed a 68 Created 302 and used same pan. Found determining oil capacity depends on which manual I use as a source; 5 or 6 quarts with new filter? The last oil change, with a new filter, I stopped at 4.5 quarts when the oil level on dip stick was far above the 'safe' zone. I do not believe year engine is an issue but rather whether the dip stick is for a front or rear oil pan sump.
I had a 70 Torino with a 302 when I was a pup and yes they are a front sump, 5 quarts with filter. The rear sump pans are a little deeper so they take 6 quarts.

I thank you, very helpful. At this point not sure how much oil is in the pan; although sooner than needed, intend changing the oil and filter and stay with 5 quarts, and perhaps add ZDDP? Meantime, keep eye out for the appropriate dipstick?
Confirmed the 'ID engineering #' stamped on the current dipstick is D0AE-6750-C. In my view the stick is useless, intend chancing oil and filter, add 5 quarts and small container of ZDDP then scribe as a reference point?

Since the 302 in your F100 came from a 1970 Torino, D0AZ-6750-C is the only correct dipstick.
The 302 truck oil pan (C9TZ-6675-A) is the same: 1969/79 F100 & 1975/79 F150.
1976/79 F100/150 / 1976 Torino; 1976/77 Maverick/Comet; 1976/78 LTD; 1976/80 Granada/Monarch; 1977/79 LTD II (not an LTD!)/Cougar/Thunderbird.
1977: FoMoCo replaced the Torino name with LTD II. A ridiculous name, because most people including garages and body shops didn't know the )*(*&^$ difference!
The only nameplate was on the deck lid, it had a large LTD at the front with a tiny II behind it.
FYI: Ranchero based off: 1957/59 Ford Passenger Cars; 1960/66 Falcon; 1967 Fairlane; 1968/71 Fairlane/Torino; 1972/76 Torino; 1977/79 LTD II.
Thank you Bill, Found 3 supplier's, 1 each of the D0AZ-6750-C. Emailed regarding price.
brake4beaver confirmed; 1, 70 Torino came with front sump so existing pan likely the original; 2nd, takes 5 quarts w/ filter. Having said that, and with input I now have the option of replacing with the correct stick, or scribe a line?

D0AZ-6750-C =
NOS PARTS LTD in Waxahachie TX has 1 = 972-937-2201.
MUSTANG'S ETC. in Van Nuys CA has 1 = 818-787-7634.
MUSTANG SERVICE CENTER in North Hollywood CA has 1 = 818-765-9266.
I don't know who will be cheaper, but since I know two of these owners personally, I would suspect that Arnold at Mustang's Etc. would want more $$ than Bo at Mustang Service Center.
Bo is an ex-Ford parts guy that I've known for over 40 years. We worked together at Walker-Buerge Ford (West L/A) in the 1970's. If you speak with him, ask him if he has any barasoaps!

Thank you Bill, based on your input in the past I have purchased items from Bo, found him very helpful and willing to take the time to search inventory for the particular item.
Do not recall if I purchased from NOS they do offer 'buy' option $40 +SH, tempted, I should just do it and not have to question the reading.
It doesn't matter ? None of those vehicles had a rear sump pan. The 2wd pickup pans of that era had a longer sump that accommodated the extra quart. The only rear sumps of that era were the 4wd pickup pans and the Econoline pans.
