I read an article that the difference between the engine in the van rv and one in a class A rv is about 60 HP! What is different between the 2 engines as both displace the same? Sure could use the extra HP and torque in the van sized rv.
I also read the article on the Banks system for the Class A RV which has headers, free flow exhaust and new air intake setup. Said that this could be used on van units (cl c) but for intake all I saw was new air cleaner on website! So their $2000+ kit is other than headers an exhaust and air cleaner with a tuner?
Later E-series 2V V10 was 305hp, Later F53 chassis with the 3V V10 was 362hp. None of the parts are interchangeable between the two.(headers, exhaust, etc)
Banks does list a kit for the van/rv as I indicated but the only itake improvement is an AIR FILTER! still have to use convoluted snorkel system etc. Yes I have a 5 star, helps but mainly with trans and throttle control. I have looked at adding a Gibson muffler just havent gotten around to it yet. according to article the exhaust manifolds appear to be same thus the change to headers, so really where does the 30 hp come from to begine with. 10 valves wont make that much change
A muffler will not add power, it will only lighten your wallet and tickle your ears. I added Gibson headers, a custom Y-pipe, and a Magnaflow muffler and while the throttle response/sharpness is greatly improved, overall power feels the same.
I did the y pipe, cat and muffler and would agree that my truck had a better jump but I didn't drag the other Make of trucks backwards any faster than before. Sorry non Ford guys
