Truck wont stay running
I have a 98 ford X that was given to me after sitting for 2yrs upon a passing. I did a full tune up , new battery/terminals, fuel pump/filter, EGR/Sensor, removed factory alarm, and got a full professional clean of the throttle,/intake/cradle. But yet my truck cranks and turns completely off after 2-3 attempts it stutters and I have to wait 1-2 hrs for it to start again. Ive been through 3 mechanics and no one seems to know. Can any one help me?

Other than making sure the fuel lines are not picking up crud from the tank, did you ever disconnect the exhaust and see if it continues to run then? Just thought of a clogged system I ran into years ago. Ran for a while until the pressure built up and then quit. You had to let it sit for a while before it would start again. It would run for a few minutes and then die again. Took forever to figure it out. Varmints, nests, converter, or in this case it was a potato crammed up the exhaust pipe. Old-school prank. Worth a look-see anyway.
