Stalling After Dead Stop

Stalling After Dead Stop
I have a 1966 F-100 with a 352 that has problems taking off after a dead stop. I have to be super gentle with the throttle or else it would want to choke/stall or turn off, however once I give it a full throttle the truck works fine. For example, if I am reversing out of a driveway and put it on Drive, if I barely step on the pedal, the truck wants to choke but after flooring it, it works good. And after I use the truck for a while and want to turn it on later in the day, the truck doesn't start. Do you guys have an idea of what could be wrong?

Could be a couple of different issues. The problems might not be related.
You mentioned putting it in Drive. That suggests you have an automatic transmission. Does it have adequate transmission fluid? If it is low on fluid it can cause odd problems at low RPMs. Could also be a vacuum leak causing it to draw too much air into the system and it gets too lean just off idle.
If you live in a hot climate or during summer months - if you don't have a carb spacer installed - the fuel in the carb can boil and evaporate in a fairly short period of time. This makes a vehicle very hard to restart. Something to consider, at least.
