Fished out of Venice a few times......those cats in LA outnumber the monos 3 to 1.

They use a lot of Contenders down here too but the cats have a more stable ride in rough water. We run out close to the mouth of the Mississippi River in the West Delta area. No problem catching snapper out there. My daughters and son in laws like the offshore fishing more then me...I still like catching the speckled trout and redfish in the coastal bays.
