Filled up my truck tonight after the low fuel light went on telling my I had 50 miles to empty. By the time I filled up it said I had 40 miles until empty. I was only able to put 25.5 gallons in and my truck has a 34 gallon tank.
I get the same results and thought I only had about a 26 gallon tank. Is a 34 gallon tank the smallest for a CCSB F250?

34 gallons (actually 34.5?) is the standard tank size for the 2017 F250/F350 6.2 in most configurations. The CCLB alone gets the 48 gallon tank.
Ours seems to be "OK". I recently filled up with 28.5 gallons and 41 miles DTE. This suggests that it would have taken ~31 gallons at 0 DTE, indicating an ~3 gallon operational reserve.
One thing I've done is select the "Towing" setting for the DTE calculation. It appears to use a relatively short recent consumption interval for the DTE calculation compared to a relatively long interval for the "Normal" setting.
