Good Morning All,., I have found a plate on my motor and need to figure out what motor it is year and model. The numbers are on a plate it says ,"Manufactured for General Motors In USA"
Part number 19210003
Serial number 5542671s/c 763-
NPK1522E3
I am in the uk so any uk links would be very helpfull..Thanks
I'm not sure that you are in the right forum? What is the year, make and model of your truck? What kind of engine is it (I-6, V-8, 4 cyl, diesel, gas)? Also we need pictures.
I googled that part number and it came back as a GM steering rack. Is the plate just mounted to a bolt on the engine? Pete'd right, we need to know what brand and model engine you have. All engines for the last 40 years have a serial number stamped on the block itself, on V8's it's usually on whichever bank is further forward on the block deck surface.
Its a 49 F1 with a summit V8. the only numbers i can find actually on the block are from inside the truck on the right side of the engine block just above the sump from underneath it looks like 088.the tag that i got the other numbers from looks like it is riveted to the block.
Not sure what you mean by a "summit" V8? Bought from Summit Racing as a crate motor? It would still have a manufacturer's serial number. A picture of what you have would sure help.
