When I was setting up my coolant pressure gauge some time ago, I had to extend the sensor harness. I emailed Michael Pliska, heard right back on how to do it. Even educated me on insulation classes of automotive wire.
Fast forward to recent - bought a three gauge pod from a prominent diesel product vendor, with intent to reuse my existing coolant gauge in the pod. I neglected to consider I'd have to remove the existing orange connector to daisy chain the power and ground through the pod. The vendor advised on how to salvage it and offered to sell me another for $5 and ship it for $10 more (after a $460 kit purchase). Asked Michael for a second opinion on salvaging - he tells me to provide my address and he'll send one free of charge! Envelope showed up two days later, with not one, but two connectors, and an installation tool! Was able to salvage the old one but used the new one just for peace of mind.
Anyway, thanks to Michael and Isspro. It may be just a few bucks in hardware and time, but it shows a level of customer service that just seems hard to find anymore. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and will buy from them again when the time comes.
I've looked at there products and would use them but they don't really match the auto meter stuff I already have. Good to know that there are still companies interested in customer service though.
I must have a too sunny of a disposition when I confront people about product problems. I sent two emails to customer service when my Isspro transducer failed and no responce, just like the sensor.
