How many gallon tanks were installed in the E99s?

29 gallons, if you do the in tank mods you can squeeze 32 gallons.

You can squeeze it in regardless. The in-tank mods don't increase capacity, it just makes it easier to get to that capacity limit.

without the mod it take a WHILE to get to top of filler neck.. with mods you only have to ffight a couple gallons in..

weird thing today..

went to get fuel and gauge was reading fine.. less than half tank. put in 18.44 gallons ($40)which did not fill up to neck. Got in truck and turned key, noticed fuel gauge at 1/4 tank and then drop to E which caused the light to come on.

I figure maybe the connection came off?? had to loosen straps couple weeks ago to replace rubber filler part as the one I was using had a crimp and was real SLOW filling tank.

have to get under there check connection and HOPE that is all it is. I did reset trip odometer so at least I can keep up with miles driven and when it get low drop tank adn see what is up..
