Engine issues again

I got out of home depot and theres a small puddle of oil under the truck. open the hood and it looks like oil is shooting out from somewhere on the pass side. The Ac box, pass valve cover, and turbo down pipe have oil on them. The oil looks like its shooting onto the bottom and side of the down pipe. I ordered some new vc gaskets, is there anwhere else the oil could be coming from. I had it idling in the driveway and I dont see and oil shooting out. Is there a way to rev the motor from the engine compartment?

Based on your other post about what it would be worth selling you mention a new HPOP. Another member here had that type of oil leak just before his HPOP line blew out at the rear plate. How confident are you about that repair and the gaskets/connections coming off the HPOP?

Did you seal the HPOP cover with grey RTV at the seam between the block and the rear cover?

I used the red rtv, is the grey high temp too? I guess it could be the hpop gasket, its def in that area. I had everything clean and did it the same way ive done every other gasket. Ive worked on cars my whole life and never had as much trouble with an engine.

As I understand it the grey stuff (Motorcraft TA-31 is the OEM spec) is formulated to resist oil seepage while being more flexible at the correct temp rating. I have no idea how stable the junction between the block and rear cover is, but an engineer specified grey for a reason.

The TA31 is for high(ish) temps and for oil resistance.
