I'm not sure what to say here:
On my 88s, the rear ABS light was always on and it never had any ABS. I never cared about it anyway. No issues.
On my 93, it *does* work, the light is not on, and I do notice it working on emergency braking. I do like it - it seems to help a bit with locking up the rear wheels.
I'd try to troubleshoot before giving up on it first, because it's not exactly a *bad* thing. It may not be worth spending a lot to fix, but if it's a simple issue, fix it.
I will check fuses first. Could it be the VSS i heard something's about them on the 99's. Speedometer seems to work good.
What year did they change the speed sensor from the transmission? Mine the Speedo is transmission and abs only on the rearend
What is the most common cause for the ABS light to come on. I seen where people were talking about the 99's are known for the speed sensor. I have a 93. My speedometer seems to work fine. I will test fuses should I change speed sensor? Is there a way to test the sensor?

Do you think it could be the vehicle speed sensor. My speedometer seems to work well even though it is off about. 5mph after I get over a certain speed. I only have 16 inch tires. I think that's what they are.
Okay, those are stock size tires. Speedometer should be dead-on, or within 1-2 MPH. Is it reading 5 MPH high or low? And at what speed does it become inaccurate?
It's remotely possible that the speedometer was calibrated for some non-stock tire. How long have you owned the truck?

Haven't owned it for even a year. It seems to become inaccurate at about 55 to 60 mph. The previous owner had the a instrument cluster out of a automatic truck. It is reading 5mph low.
