2017 orders closed?

2017 orders closed?
I stopped at my local dealer today and they told me that custom orders for 2017 Super Dutys stopped last week. From what I have been reading on here I was under the impression orders didn't close until the end of August. Has anyone else had any issues with this?

Several people have said that, but it still shows balance out is Sept 1. We've figured they are confusing F150... but that's more than a week ago. Just for kicks I went into concepts right now and it's accepting orders.

At many dealerships in more suburban settings the avg retail guys really doesn't get into the SD trucks all that often. Ford talks about the best selling F series and all that and it's easy to not realize that they are in fact completely different production lines. Most folks who need a SuperDuty know more than a vast majority of sales folks. Frankly, many know more than myself. I'm just good at looking stuff up and remember questions someone else has already asked (-=

I stopped in and test drove a '17 on Thursday. I said when can you order '18. He said now. I said are you sure that's not for F150s? He said wait a minute and I'll check. He said you are right, only F150s now, however fleet manager said they are getting '18 order info and guides week of 7/3. Supposed to email me one when the get it.

Maybe it's different up here in Canada but I've had a couple of dealers tell me that balance out is in the next week or two. Frantz if I was in the U.S I would go out of my way to order one through you, you seem to be the most honest and knowledgeable salesman that I know. Thanks for your insight and input.
