Ford e250 sliding side door won't stay open
Hello all,
I have an e250 year 2007 cargo van.
The side sliding door does not want to stay open when parked on a slight incline.
The van is used for carpet cleaning. In the past this has happened but I was able to solve it by directing water from a garden hose in the track at the bottom. It has accumulated carpet lint in that area.
This fix is not working now so I don't think anything is blocking it.
I did find this terminal contact when I was spraying and wonder if it's part of that assembly.

Any help would be appreciate it.
thanks,
Albert

Well, I got this working. Actually it was a case of cleaning. I took out the black plastic cover and gave me a look of what was accumulated. Holy cow, there was a lot of crap (see pic).
As for that contact part, I remembered that I bought this van from a company that installed commercial alarms. This part was just one of the many things that were hiding down there.
