I've been searching forums and have craigslist saved searches I check every day and have yet to find a single OEM shell for my long bed 1977 F150. Does anyone know of a good aftermarket model that fits our trucks nicely?
My main concern is matching the rear window angle which I understand is unique to the dentside. I would much prefer the OEM (Leer?) but I after a few months of searching I'm ready to look at other options.
Not the best view but this made by Canopy Kingdom in Federal away, WA for less than $400. But that was 18 years ago. I'm sure they still have the pattern but am willing to guess the price has gone up. It fits perfectly and the only complaint I have is that the black trim that fits in the channels hiding the seams rotted away years ago.
Where are you located? There's one on the rack at my local RV dealership..... Haven't looked at it close, but it has all the windows in it, at least. I can go sneak a peek and get you the guy's info if you're interested. Northern Montana.

I'm still not having any luck in Denver, is it a fomoco original in his rack? I might be willing to make a road trip if it is. Need to break in a new motor soon anyway.
I would take you up on it, rougeriver but it does look good on your truck. Sure you would part with it?
That camper shell does look good on my truck, but I prefer it without it. It's in my way, and I don't have plans to use it again. You are welcome to it.
