Scotchgard
Anyone here apply scotchgard fabric protectant? Amazon reviews are through the roof. We did a dealer fabric protectant on our 13 year CRV in 2004. Its a light tan color and held up great. Not one stain anywhere.
I passed on the protectant for my new Ford so I was hoping for a do it yourself project that may be as good or close to as good.
Thanks

The product is generally the same. The value of the dealer provided stuff (at least what we sell) is that we'll remove any stains for you, and if the stain doesn't come out, we'll replace the fabric. Our coverage also offers small puncture and slice protection. The downside? It's only good through one of our 20 or so dealerships, we self insure it. We make money on it because frankly most people forget they have it. The folks that buy it and especially those with kids, who use it tend to make out pretty darn well. If you use the scotchguard brand stuff it's similar, if the protection you had was all you ever needed and you never needed to go in for a cleaning or repair then sure, DIY is super easy and will save you money.
