I am trying to learn about the software and hardware for the CCD System. In the Owner’s Manual, Fuse 33 is shown as for the CCD Module. In the wiring manual, Section 41-1, -2, & -3 seem to indicate a Vehicle Dynamic Module, four hydraulic solenoid valves (right front, left front, right rear, left rear), and four suspension height sensors (front RH, front LH, rear RH, and rear LH). Does anyone know exactly where these components are located and exactly what they look like? I want to know if these parts can be purchased and added to a model that was built without the CCD option and has 20” wheels.
This is an old thread I know but if anyone is interested the Vehicle Dynamic Module is located in the center console between the front seats. The rear height sensors are on the inboard side of the axle on the CV joint boot. Not sure about the front sensors.
I'd love to try and add this option. There are surprisingly few components (but the struts cost roughly $700 each). The trick will be in the programming. I'm guessing Programmable Module Installation (PMI) will be needed for the new Vehicle Dynamics Module and there would very likely be some programming changes in the PCM to enable it, plus the cluster to enable the controls (IPC). That could end up being pretty complicated.
