1995 4.9l wont fire
1995 4.9l wont fire
I swapped a 4.9l into a 1997 F-350 that had a 5.8L originally, my issue is the fuel injectors are not working. I did my homework and got the harness that was with the engine out of a 1995 F-150 and also got the correct ECM to go along with my E4OD tranny that is in the F-350. It has spark and 60 plus PSI fuel pressure in the rail and will run with starting fluid shot in the throttle body. I picked up a NOID light and will check this weekend for signal to injectors. Right now it looks like none of the injectors are firing so while possible it is not likely all have frozen shut. If the NOID light confirms no signal where should I look for the cause? It is possible the ECM is not putting out the pulse but everything else including fuel pumps are working fine, when I got the ECM I opened it up and checked the Caps they looked good. Where do I check ground for the injectors that is another possible cause is there anything else? I am so close to getting this running thanks for any and all help, I know this problem has plagued a few others on this forum as well.

I forgot to mention that the 1997 F-350 does not have OBD II it was exempt because of the GVW rating so the 1995 4.9L also came from a truck with OBD I system so everything should in theory plug and play am I wrong?
