(i'm building a '52 F3 using '95 F150 drivetrain and wiring harnesses...)
my brain is a bit fried after staring at wiring diagrams and the like the last week or more... i've got a freshly-built 5.8 waiting to be fired up for the first time, but first i have to get all the wiring in place (which came in a box, btw).
so it seems that some voltage regulators are external and some built-in to alternator -- how do i tell which i need? or rather, which do i have? i didn't have the benefit of a complete donor truck tear-down, so i'm off-the-back a bit trying to figure it all out.
(you should see the pile of wires/components i've pared down already trying to get to the basics).
