2006 Lariat package, heated seats, and tailgate
Hi everyone, this is my first post.
I'm in the market for a truck to pull a fifth wheel trailer.
I came across a 2006 F-350 DRW Lariat, and in the pics that show the seats, the seats controls do not have the heated seat switch.
Was heated seats an option, even with Lariat? I thought Lariat included heated seats.
Lariat, but no heated seat switch?
Also, looking at the tailgate, it appears to have a F-250 badge instead of F-350. Am I correct?
F-350 DRW but with F-250 badge on tailgate?

According to the sales brochure, the heated seats were an additional option on 2006 lariat. Likely tailgate was damaged or stolen and replacement came from a 3/4 ton instead of 1 ton. You can buy the proper badge it it bugs you enough to change it.
Make sure to fully verify HGs, oil cooler, and egr are OK before plunking any money down. There is a great write up on how to inspect the 6.0 before purchase worth it's weight in gold (or ~$6k if you would have bought one needing work). Many have been trouble free but some have been money pits.

I think I'm going to pass on this truck. The dealer said it's been in a "minor accident", it has a F-250 tailgate (why?), and the vehicle sticker is missing from the inside driver door. Sounds like the truck was in an accident that involved a new driver door and tailgate.

Flood damage, interesting. You think perhaps the seat base was replaced, and also maybe that's why there's an aftermarket carpet cover?
I'm already passing on this truck, but what's the dead giveaway of flood damage so I know what to look for with the next one?
