power steering line help prt#?

Need help this line is leaking awfully bad, I believe it to be the feed(not the return). Any help would be great. Looking for line name and possible ford part #? I used a 5/8 open wrench on it, removed and cleaned best I could.still leaking..

arrow point at line is 5/8 wrench. Is it the return or feed, any one have a part #?

P/S pressure hose threads onto the pump and the gearbox. P/S return hose threads onto the gearbox, uses a hose clamp to attach it to the pump.

What year is your truck, what engine size? Is the P/S original to the truck, or was it swapped in?

Bendix P/S: 1966/68 F100/250 2WD; 1969 F100/250 2WD before serial number D96,001.

C7TZ-3A719-J .. P/S Pressure Hose-Use with Bendix P/S / Obsolete ~ 7 available NOS

1967 F100/250 352 2WD; 1968 F100/250 360/390 2WD; 1969 F100/250 360/390 2WD before serial number D96,001.

P/S pressure hose threads onto the pump on one end, threads onto the gearbox on the other end.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
C6TZ-3A713-B .. P/S Return Hose-Use with Bendix P/S / Obsolete ~ No Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.

1966/67 F100/250 352 2WD; 1968 F100/250 360/390 2WD; 1969 F100/250 360/390 2WD before serial number D96,001.

P/S return hose clamps onto the pump on one end, threads onto the gearbox on the other end.

Return hose has a rubber hose swagged onto the metal tube on the pump end.

The rubber hose cracks where the clamp is located. Sometimes you can cut the cracked portion of the rubber hose off, then re-clamp the hose onto the pump.

This is not the C6TZ-3A713-B return hose. Genuine Ford hose is composed of a steel tube with the rubber hose section swagged onto the tube.

This is an aftermarket "fixum" replacement, does not include the rubber hose.

You will need the apropos rubber hose, because you cannot remove the hose from the original return hose, because it is swagged on.

And, because the return hose clamps onto the pump end, you'll only need one of these tubes.

IMO: Look at the hose clamp that retains the hose to the pump. It cracks, so sometimes you can cut off the cracked portion, then re-clamp the hose.

I understand. Yet it's leaking for the thread part on the gearbox. So I need some type of replacement. So not sure then.

When this occurs, people aren't going anywhere, because backing the bolt off, usually doesn't solve the problem.

To bleed the air, jack up the front end. Start the engine and cycle the steering from side to side 12 times. Done.

Your truck may be a '68 but, that's a Saginaw PS gearbox.

Thx on the info. I will raise it up and do that.
So was the gearbox replaced? I don't know. I will ask the shop that's gonna do the brakes all around on it. If it's ok.

Geez Louise, I suspected something like this after I looked at the sector shaft cover. But the OP said in post #1 looks original, so I didn't question it.

BOTH P/S hoses I listed are WRONG .. because they are for BENDIX P/S!

Bendix P/S: 1966/68 F100/250 2WD; 1969 F250 2WD before serial number D96,001.

Ford/Saginaw P/S: 1969 F100/250 2WD & F350 from serial number D96,001, 1970/79 F100/250 2WD & F350.
