New 4R100 Options

I find myself in need of a new/reman 4R100 for my 2002 7.3 Excursion.
Truck is used mostly for road trips, occasional towing up to 10K Lbs;
Has AC injectors, GTP38R, regulated return, exhaust, intake, and tune(s).
I would appreciate recommendations on the best, most durable, and reasonable
reman out there. I won't say money is no object, but want the best/most band for the buck.
Considering(but certainly not limited to);
BTS
Woods
ATS
DieselSite

Thanks in advance
Jimbo

If you are on the east coast I vote BTS. Definitely go with 6.0 cooler at the same time.

A comphrensive review and evaluation of each companies build parts and process is a bit of a stretch for a forum since few have in depth knowledge of the inner working.

The best you are likely to get is the buying and customer service experience from some of those vendors.

Since you have spec'ed put the build parts of your engine why not do the same for your trans ? Build it with the parts you want.

I don't know how soon you need to get the truck going, but BTS has a backlog and could take up to a month. Other popular vendors may be same. Worth a call to find out.

I am very happy with my HD4R100 from Ford. I added a triple disc TC (PoNH) and the John Woods valve body (RiffRaff) to the purchase and installed myself. Total cost for a heavy duty reman with those options ended up being ~$3350. Saved myself a lot of money doing my own install.

If you want a build sheet for an absurdly stout trans, shoot me a PM and I'll toss mine to you. Same as mueckster's build in his old F250 - and it takes one hell of a beating. But spends, $4000 in parts alone. However it's survived me for almost two years, which is a significant achievement. Boost launches with 238's and a 38R on 35's almost daily, it'll take your substantially lower power abuse. Not talking **** on your rig, just stating a fact
