Hi all, I will be upgrading to OEM led headlamps soon with a Retro Customz harness, I am also getting ready to install a Western snow plow which must wire into the headlamps. When I purchase the plow I have an option of either an Led or quad beam headlamp wire harness. Im not sure which to order, I leaning towards the quad beam harness, then add the retro harness between that and the headlamps, does anyone have any input on which is the better way to go?
Are the plow quad beam LED too? I would think you would want them all the same as the controls for LED are different. You may experience comparability differences with the plow lights vs the headlights. Your seller should be able to tell you what will work best, if your doing the install, I would make a deal and have both and return one when you do the install. It's either that or you have them do it, and make sure you show them what you have when they do it so that they are responsible for everything working properly.

Plow is a Western so halogen bulbs although I will upgrade them to led bulbs down the road. I will be doing the install, I asked the dealer and they had no idea on trucks with upgrades, I'm sure this doesn't come up often in trucks with plows
Just incase someone runs into this, I wound up using the Led version harness from Western (it was easier to wire also) and it seems to work fine. I did not try thy the Halogen harness so that may work also but is much more complicated to install.
