As long as it's not hot, windy and dry fires shouldn't be a big problem.

It was 12 but cloudy, breezy and chilly.

Everything is pretty much dry here except a few puddles on the road..

Even with rain almost daily? Must be some type of ''dry'' rain.

Grass is still wet but pavement is basically dry

I was watching a farmer in Manitoba digging down in his field and the soil is so dry it's like ash..

The last 3-4 yrs has been getting drier and drier, any moisture reserve we may have had is long gone. A good spring and summer rain is just a memory now.

Water tables are dropping all over the place and the moisture gets drawn away from the surface to compensate. It's like the top of a sponge drying out while the water its in evaporates. Pretty soon you have an eighth inch of water in the dish and a mostly dried out sponge. It was a science fair project.

The Keystone pipe line should be converted to transfer water to farmers irrigation systems..

Spring run off and flood water needs to be channeled into drought areas.
