Same behind our storm door, while it`s cold out on sunny days now it`s real toasty.

Like the magpies around here, they are noisy buggers that clean out my bird feeders and suet holders in no time. They also raid other bird`s nests, there`s nothing good about them.

I hate the crows when they arrive and start squawking at 5 in the morning

Its hurry up and wait time right now as I'm car hunting today, sitting at Marlborough mall watching the welfare recipients on their spending spree. These people breed to much and the females are fat, frumpy, grumpy and look like worst of breed livestock. As you can see, I'm thrilled to be here.

Am expecting a call back for either an Infinity or a Blazer, the Infinity has me leary as it has 260k on it and that means the transmission will be the weak spot. Not that many people know how to drive these 4x4 vehicles and there's a lot of blown transmissions between 240k and 270k, look on kijiji and you'll find 100 or so. The Blazer has new brakes, water pump, belts and hoses, only 209k.

At least as nasty as magpies are they don`t usually raise a ruckus early mornings here.
Isn`t an Infinity an overly expensive car to buy and even more so to fix?

Grackles are way worse than magpies or crows, but luckily here they are only around for a week or two.

Grackles ,aren't they the same as a starling..? Look the same to me, we get a lot of them here too in flocks but not here much more than a couple weeks when migrating

They do look about the same, not sure if they are the same bird. I'm making beans and pork ribs today. Beans are simmering, ribs are absorbing flavor from the rub before gong in the smoker around lunchtime.

It would appear that this is our last cold snap for a while, about time. According to the news, this was the 3rd coldest February on the books for us with only 1 hour above freezing this month.
