The C6 has no overdrive, so if we assume that you'll run a tire in the neighborhood of 27" tall, the engine will be turning about 3400 RPM at 70 MPH. Will it do it? Yes, all day long. Will it be economical to drive any distance that way? Probably not. It will likely suck fuel by the tankerload. And the sound level in the cab would be obnoxious as well. If you're planning to spend a lot of miles on the highway with this truck, then I would suggest either looking into an overdrive transmission or going to a numerically lower gear ratio.

Tire size is important and what your expectations are " 70mph all day , short bursts , fuel mileage etc. ". There are many rpm calculators available your c6 is a 1 to 1 final ratio so even with 28" tires it will be revving close to 3400 rpm @ 70mph .
