Had a few changes I wanted to make to my new truck, and have completed all of them except the change to get the temp display above the gauges. My truck is a 17 F250 Lariat 6.2 with factory trailer brake , and my as built for IPM 720-07-01 shows *AA* rather than *EA*. I went ahead and tried *E5* as shown on the FORSCAN worksheet, but when it gets to 100% on the re-write it gives me an error and says "Service Procedure interrupted.
Any forscan experts have a clue what the issue might be?
Did you download and install the .10 beta version of FORScan? You'll need that to make any changes to the IPC. Search the FORScan Spreadsheet thread for "beta" and you'll find a few posts that link to the installation file.
Do you have the correct version of FORScan? For a while we could not update the IPC module (I assume you mean IPC, not IPM) as the feature had not yet been added. I'm not sure the official version on the FORScan page even allows this update yet, you have to go to the link in the large thread here to get the version that allows modification.
Thanks Epic and fleming. I had downloaded the .10 update, but somehow .9 was overriding the update. I ended up deleting forscan completely and got the change made after reinstalling the .10 beta.
BTW, on my build *E5* gives boost data on my gas truck. I was able to use *A5* and make the changes to the gauges without adding boost data to the scroll through menus. Everything else is identical.
Thanks again for the help, I never would have checked to see what version was actually running without the suggestions.
