I am doing lots of stuff on the top of this 2003 E350 5.4l and for other reasons have most of the trim & components out of the dash, will removing the rest of the dash give better access (get me closer to reach more plugs etc. from inside cab)?
Any other recommendations to make this go easier welcome as well!
Thanks for stopping in! I had read to remove the seats then promptly forgot it completely, just the reminder I needed as I dive into this project, thanks for leaving a record here that I won't easily miss...
that all being the case, what about out front? if I were doing the coolant would removing the radiator/fan/shroud or anything else around there make any sense?
UPDATE: fuel rail and injectors out, not bad at all sitting in the cab with the seats removed. maybe one or two bolts and wiring clips from the front (air filter business removed). I found it easier to pull a big bracket and the EGR pressure sensor mounted to it, pull the whole rail out with injectors hanging then remove injectors. these were really stuck in the rail, several came out leaving the upper o-ring behind.
