Sync overrides Bluetooth headset after about 30 seconds
Has anyone else experienced this?
I use a bluetooth headset with my phone 90% of the time (Jawbone Icon) mostly so I can have my hands free to type while on the phone. Sometimes while driving I would like to use the bluetooth headset while on the phone, for instance when I have someone with me that doesn't need to hear both sides of the conversation. This all worked great with the 2011. On the 2017, if I answer an incoming call with the bluetooth headset, after about 30 seconds the call will automatically be transfered to Sync. There doesn't appear to be any way to get the call back to the bluetooth. Hitting the privacy button on the dash sends the call to the phone, which is a pain in the but since I already have a bluetooth headset stuck in one ear. I'm sure I look like a retard with a bluetooth in one ear and talking on the phone with the other ear. I would love to figure out how to make the calls quit transfering to sync after 30 seconds. Thoughts?
I use a Logitech bluetooth connection from my phone to my home stereo in the house. My driveway is right next to my house. When our other car (which has Sync as well is leaving or coming home, I notice Sync takes over the connection as well, cutting off music to my home stereo and sending it to the car. It appears the Bluetooth connection to Sync is *very* strong! Only way I can fix the problem is simply remove the Sync connection but that won't work for your issue.
