Bumper light bar

I've been trying to find something to fill the hole behind the front license plate frame. The thing looks ugly and just removing it would look hideous. I do like the look of a light bar filling the hole though. Has anyone written a post on the install and brand they used to do it?

I have

Put a Rough County light in the front bumper. Looks and works great. I use a wireless remote to control it.

I used a rough country and their bracket that is designed for the super duty. Install was a piece of cake. I use upfitter 1 to control power to mine, but also have it wired to come on with high beams only.

Makes a huge difference on dark back roads.

thats the one i was looking at. I wasn't expecting the price tag that came with it though. Might have to save up for a bit longer to get it. Looks soooooo much better than that license plate plus I do a lot of off roading at night so it would be a huge help.

First off let me start off by saying I do not work for auxbeam or anything like that I just know that I bought their products and they have lasted for the price and the warranty when there was an issue they fixed it right away great company . So if looking just for a light bar auxbeam sales a good light bar that comes with a relay harness plus a one-year warranty no questions asked just send them a photo of any issues happen and I haven't had any issues with it they also sell the brackets as well. I know people will say you get what you pay for but like I said I have not had any issues except for one actually and they took care of it here is a photo of my rig and the lights I have I hope this helps The bull bar is from Rough Country the light bar is a 20 inch spot flood auxbeam
The light bar on top is a 50-inch 5D auxbeam light bar hooked up to a relay switch and is also has a wireless remote with 9 options including SOS
The light bars underneath the bumper are from auxbeam ,both 12 inch spot/flood combos and they're hooked up to one relay switch.
I didn't want to drill any holes in the body or roof of the truck that weren't already there from the manufacturer so I purchased this Rhino Rack single bar setup it attaches no leaks it comes with a lock and key so if I ever decide to get rid of her heaven forbid I even say those words I can take the setup with me plus I like being able to mount it where it's at so there is no reflection back off the hood through the windshield and into my eyes

I will have to look into the auxbeam. I'm all for saving a little money.

How do those brackets on top mount up without drilling holes? Are they suction cups?

" Osiyo " Here's a copy of my order form , this is everything you will need if you decide to purchase a single roof rack from this company.
You can see here how to attach is to the roof there are no holes drilled there just C clamps that wedging and tighten down took me a couple tries to get it lined up it's still a little bit off but oh well with that size of a light bar on top it really doesn't matter the flood does well and the spot punches through really far highly recommend
This diagram shows the part that attaches the roof rack into the light bar the order number for this part is also included in my purchase form you will need to drill a hole as it shows on the instructions so that you can put a bolt in there to keep the light bar from pointing up or down eventually they come loose and this whole prevents it with the bolt just and if you go through a carwash aswell ,I put two nuts on the inside closer to the light bar that keeps the bolt from coming out.
Here is a better photo of the diagram showing the bracket that connects the light bar to the roof rack if the light bar is too high one way with the bracket you can flip it upside down I had to do that to be able to go through car washes I know car washes can be taboo yada yada but when you're in a rush and you have a big truck I don't have time for it find a good car wash
I hope this helps you out.

If the price is a bit high, ProjectLM has some good budget bars, I've had good experiences with mine.

First of that's a good looking truck. Second how did you mount your tag with the bull bar?

I stopped by the local Metal store ( Where I buy all my Rebar and Window Bucks etc ) and bought a piece of plate metal. I think it was 14 gauge and 31" x 4"

This fit between my tow hooks. I mounted the light bar to the plate and then mounted the plate to the brackets holding the hooks. I had to shim it a bit to get the lights flush with the bumper. I think I put 2 pieces of 3/16" steel plate behind the main plate to push the bar out another 1/2" Took all of a half hour and cost $8-$10.
