I have a 2017 F150 XLT with sync 3. I was having trouble with my USB drive playing music. It was stuck indexing. It was changing the setting from shuffle to repeat, and starting with the first song.

I took the USB drive to my computer and windows asked me if I wanted to repair the drive. It took about 3 minutes. I took the drive out to my truck and it indexed my 1400 songs in about a minute, the settings stayed on shuffle, and it played perfectly.

Make sure the drive isn't corrupted.

 

Thanks for the update. The drive that I've been using has worked fine until recently and now giving me the same message so I presume it must've gotten a corrupt file somewhere.
