No problems here. One is an oil additive (extra lubrication), and the other is a fuel additive like diesel kleen or PM22. Just wondered if anyone heard of these, or have used them.
Can't say I've used either. I have had good luck with Archoil though. I use the friction modifier in the oil (AR9100) at every oil change and the fuel additive (AR6200) with every tank.
-opti lube will help with increasing the lube value of fuel...recent grade #2 has reduced
sulphur and reduced lube value, or you can just use b5
-opti lube winter blend will help with gelling
-stuff like arch oil, rislone engine oil treatment will increase the phosphorous and zinc
levels of your oil.
- check to see if your rear end needs ford friction modifier
-theres a ford coolant additive that works with a bitterness tester
-now the fuel cetane boosters...becarefult with them...they will increase your cetane
ratings to help with complete burning...but...they will also rasie the exhaust heat
Hot Shot Secret was invented to fight stiction in the injectors which was common among the 6.0 PSD motors. Occasionally could be found in the 7.3, but not nearly as often. The 6.4 and 6.7 PSD's do not use oil pressure to fire the injectors, so using that product would be useless. Oil never touches the injectors. RevX is more common among Ford guys with stiction issues, but Hotshot Secret works well too from what I've heard. As for other oil additives, anything that adds Zinc or Moly would help. But, if your truck is not deleted, those additives may mess with the EGR/pollution control systems on your trucks. I would read up on anything you might be thinking about adding to the oil or fuel system. A lot of the stuff is fine, but some may not be.
I don't plan on using either product. I'll stick with my ford cetane booster on my dpf deleted truck only.
You should delete the DOC if you haven't. I did that crap myself and realized it recently and removed the DOC. I had the DPF deleted for about a year before I realized it.
Basically...delete the DOC/DPF.
I probably read your post wrong.
