Anyone have Deavers on a 6.2 gas truck? I'm wondering how well they work and how much lift they provide. It seems like a 3.5 inch lift then after removing the ford 2.5 inch spacer it ends in a 1 inch rear lift.
Can anyone verify?
Can they be used with a BDS 2 inch level kit (are the shocks long enough or valved correctly)?
The deavers are amazing, probably the best ride improvement you can do to these trucks and they'll definitely work for your gasser. Give Carli a call for their recommendation, I believe it's a 2" lift with the blocks removed but I can't remember off the top of my head. It will work with a BDS lift, but I'm pretty sure you'd need longer shocks in the rear no matter what. They are usually available as 0-1" and 2-3.5", so you'd need the 2-3.5" rear shocks. They should have those as an option.
I want those Deaver addapacks, but I can't afford to add even the slightest lift. Wish they had a factory ride height option. Tried to call carli about them to see what they could do several times but they are so busy, no one there to answer the phone. I know I should just leave a message but I don't.
I decided to just contact Deaver myself. Surprisingly they did get back to me quickly. The said they can make me a set with as little or as much lift as I want. I emailed back for a price with zero lift so we'll see what they have to say.
Deaver springs would be the absolute best ride improvement you can do on these trucks. Its really amazing the difference. The problem is they lower your payload too much for me. You lose about 1,000 lbs payload if I remember correctly. You can gain that back with long travel air bags, but thats another $750 or so. Its been a while since I looked at all of this, deaver would know for sure.
$1260 shipped for a custom order.... seems like a good deal to me.
That sounds great especially since the ones sold through Carli are $1450. I may do the same thing. I'd like softer springs but don't really want the lift.

They can't call you back if you don't leave a message silly goose. Its a small shop and the people there wear many hats. Leave a message and someone will get ahold of you.
