The 2017 bed is aluminum, probably do NOT want to attach that to your steel, and then have to worry about areas they contact and/or how other parts attach..
So how does Ford attach aluminum beds to steel frames then?
Trying to reuse newer glass rack on 2003 F 250 long bed, on newer model F 250 long bed.
What years F250 long bed body match the body style of 2003?
Thanks in advance.

A 2003 F-250 long bed will look the same as a 1999-2007 all the way around.
in 2008 - forward, the tailgate appliques, branding embossments, design creases, and the tail lights changed, but remained interchangeable with a 2003.
in 2011 - forward, the bed side sheet metal changed, but was still steel, and still more or less lined up with the body line creases in the cab. The difference is most noticeable on the lower bump, which is more bulbously rounded in the 2011 redesign, and this characteristic can be best seen by looking at the wheel well arch bump.
2016 is the last year of steel styleside bed that can fit a 2003, but the best visual matchup is found in years 1999 - 2010, and identical matchup is found in 1999 - 2007.
Hey Redford, I have a 2013 F-250 long bed that the bed is completely shredded. I found some new beds at auction that were removed for utility beds, and I am trying to find out if they might fit. It is a range patrol vehicle, so I don't care if the bodylines match... just wanting to know if it will physically fit the truck with the bolt holes in the same spots. Main question - what years are interchangeable? Thanks for your help!

1999 thru 2016 beds are identical in mounting. They will fit any 1999-2016 truck. With the same length bed (6' or 8'). Same with rear bumper
just be aware 1999-2010 have the same fender lines. 2011-2016 have an over-exaggerated wheel arches that doesn't match 1999-2010 trucks. Doesn't matter in grand scheme of things, but they visually are different.

Thanks. I think my question was asked incorrectly, so I will try again. If I have a 2013 long bed F-250, would a 2020 or 2022 bed fit on a 2013 frame? I'm not concerned with body lines, just looking for a cheap bed with a tailgate to slap onto an old 2013 here at work.
I don't even care if I have to drill new holes in the bed for the bolts... my concern was mainly packaging. Will there be differences (fuel tank or filler location, frame length, etc...) that might make the new bed not able to set down in place? I know it's an odd question, but this is just a way high mileage truck (335k) that rarely sees pavement, and the bed has literally split open at the seams. So the company wants to slap on a new bed, and I found some at auction. Personally, I would rather install a simple flatbed, but I am asking all these questions to report back to the boss.
The 2017 and newer beds don't fit. Several have cobbled them onto older trucks though. The end product looks horrible and the bed sits up higher than the original. Frankly, if I were going to cobble a bed that doesn't fit, I wouldn't just limit myself to the Ford beds. Maybe a Chevy or Ram bed could be Frankensteined on as well.

Thanks for the info. I will pass this on to the decision makers. Personally, I would prefer to put a simple flatbed on the truck, but it's not up to me. I appreciate everyone's help!
Would a 2003 f250 super duty long bed Canopy fit a 2019 Superduty long bed?
(Yes I know this an old thread.....)
Thank you
No expert, but I'd say no. The 2019 model has different bed dimensions, but it's always best to take measurements before committing to the change over.

The guy with the 2019 showed up last night. We worked out there in the dark, my truck is sitting at my buddies property and no outside lights to work under except our flashlights.
He really wanted the canopy so we transferred it over to his truck bed and evrything fit correctly EXCEPT at the front, the front, inside of the fiberglass canopy was just a smidge to wide for his bed, I'm talking somewhere around a mm.
He still wanted it so we snugged down the 3 corners of the canopy to the bed that were sitting firmly on the bed so he could drive home and finish it up.
His bed Rail had a black plastic cover on the bed rails, both sides and her figured to take thos off and that would free up an 1/8" to a 1/4" of room and then the canopy wouls fit into place at the front.
