Have a 2005 f150 5.4 4x4 Crewcab with no electrical power inside or outside cab. Can someone post a checklist of tests to perform. The battery is new and the connectors have been replaced. Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks
JD
Get your meter out and start looking for the open circuit. Turn the headlight switch and start doing voltage drop tests. Google it, if that's a new term to you.
make sure you have a good ground cable from the battery... to ground.
Check voltage as SHO89 said... one terminal on ground, one on the battery + cable, then move it to the other end of the cable at firewall connection, etc
When you turn key "ON" and "START" it pulls in relay on firewall to pass voltage on to accessories..... See that the solenoid and the KEY both work... should have 12 v at the small terminal on soldenoid, then 12 volt on the OUTLET big terminals.
