SoCal new arrival
hey everyone.
just joined up after spending a couple weeks lurking around the site and gathering info on a truck I was eyeballing.
well...I finally pulled the trigger and big blue came home with me yesterday, so I figured I should make myself official and register.
as of yesterday, I have a nice new (old?) 1966 F-250 2wd 2nd owner survivor truck I managed to get a hold of from a fantastic older gent who originally bought it from his former employer some 40 + years ago. ex-fleet truck used by SDG&E (San Diego Gas & Electric) by all accounts.
a well worn and worked 300 cid 6 with (what I'm guessing is) the original COM. (he swears it's a C6, but I'm having my doubts. I'll be researching that to be sure.)
he did tell me they were both rebuilt back in the early 90's. kinda hard to tell at this juncture without digging into it a bit more. hence my plans for the weekend beyond a fathers day BBQ.
in any case, I want to thank all of you for already providing me with a slew of answers to the questions I had leading up to this point. rest assured I'll have more.
