I have a 2011 Ranger. It came with Sirius radio which works with the AUX button on the head unit. This setup is not what I am use to. Anyway I want to replace the OEM unit with an aftermarket. My question is will this AUX connection effect an aftermarket radio connection?
I am guessing the way I posted my question may make no sense. What I want to do is replace the OEM radio. If I get an aftermarket radio does it need to be Sirius ready and all I have to do is connect the module. Or the module connects to the pin connection so the FORD module for Sirius will not work with aftermarket because the connection differs.
I dont know the answer to your question, because im not that fancy!
BUT check out crutchfield.com They can give you all sorts of options that are "direct" install. They also have both online and a 1800 number you can ask specifics from them.
i dont know. thats why I gave you the resource of crutchfield. The site may tell you (in its direct fit list) and/or you can ask via the webchat or just call them and ask a live person.
just my 2 cents, but thats pretty high. You can get a complete aftermarket stereo with all the bells and whistles, install wiring kit and dash kit shipped new for less than that.
That is what I wanted to know. Friend search it and said that was going price for almost new one. That is why I asked here before actually posting it for sale. I do think i can get mire than 25$ for it though. But i am sure it can be had fir that at a salvage yard.
