Replace OEM radio question

I have a 2011 Ranger. It came with Sirius radio which works with the AUX button on the head unit. This setup is not what I am use to. Anyway I want to replace the OEM unit with an aftermarket. My question is will this AUX connection effect an aftermarket radio connection?

I will keep that in mind.

I am guessing the way I posted my question may make no sense. What I want to do is replace the OEM radio. If I get an aftermarket radio does it need to be Sirius ready and all I have to do is connect the module. Or the module connects to the pin connection so the FORD module for Sirius will not work with aftermarket because the connection differs.

I dont know the answer to your question, because im not that fancy!

BUT check out crutchfield.com They can give you all sorts of options that are "direct" install. They also have both online and a 1800 number you can ask specifics from them.

But if my radio has the satellite radio which works using the aux button on the stock radio.

Would i need to buy a radio that has sirius ready and satellite module plugs into the new radio.

or any non-sirius ready radio will work since the ford aux module will turn the aux function on new radio into satellite.

If you have Sirius radio subscription now you'll have to have it transfered to any new radio that you may install.

We recently traded vehicles after 10 years of a "Lifetime" subscription in the old vehicle, it cost $75 to have that done.....

Hope this helps!

The stock radio will be up for sale

Radio only, seems like $120 range, sound right. From ranger with inky 14k miles. Radio only

just my 2 cents, but thats pretty high. You can get a complete aftermarket stereo with all the bells and whistles, install wiring kit and dash kit shipped new for less than that.

That is what I wanted to know. Friend search it and said that was going price for almost new one. That is why I asked here before actually posting it for sale. I do think i can get mire than 25$ for it though. But i am sure it can be had fir that at a salvage yard.
