Mud hole, no power steering or brakes

2001 7.3, and no it was not intentional mudding

Running pipeline, right of way had a big *** mud hole we all had to get through. Soupy, watery, pretty simple - used 2wd and a bit of a head start

Engine is running warm, not hot but definitely warmer than usual - probably clogged up the radiator a bit. Now the power steering and brakes are out. The belt is dry, all pulleys are engaged and spinning, no red leaks from the hoses... and there's some fluid on the stick. High idle doesn't help at all. Outside of it possibly needing a fluid top off, where else should I be checking? I'm on the RoW still until 530, so hopefully whatever is being a turd will sort itself out before then...

If the power steering fluid level is fine on the stick, maybe you had a pump failure internally?

It's on the low side and I have a cap that likes to pop loose despite multiple replacements.

I can't really do much until I'm off work, I loaned my spare ATF quart to a welder who had a trans leak yesterday.

Trying to get a checklist of **** to check tonight, only have 12 hrs off to fix it and sleep before work again in the morning, and my rig being what it is is why my company sent me here in the first place...

Problem has been resolved. Radiator was packed with mud, as anticipated.

As for the brakes, thinking since I have a cap that refuses to stay tightened (issue with the reservoir neck, tried multiple caps) I probably dumped some ATF on a bump and cavitated the pump. Topped off fluids and let it eat for a bit, that's taken care of - normal steering and brakes.

Engine temp, on the other hand, is pretty much just up in the air as to WTF is wrong. Checked the ECT on the ScanGauge and it showed normal range of 193-199 (80mph and 96 AOT), and EOT was a satisfactory 208-212 under identical conditions.

Now to track down what exactly is making the dummy needle read higher than it ever has, despite the actual OBD readings being on point

Any chance you collapsed a power steering line?

They're both new-ish, and it hasn't had any issues since I posted the fixed update back on the 13th
