03 super duty tires. Help

What tires do you guys recommend for an 03 F250, 6.0, crew cab, lariat, 4x4? The manual and the gas cap say 265/75R/16E, but the current tires are 285/75/R16. I am looking for a smooth road ride (hour drive to work) as well as some winter traction. Thanks for your answers asap.

Cooper AT/3 in either 265/75R16 or 285/75R16 would be a nice tire.

I had these WalMart Dextero branded tires on my last EX.

Dextero DHT2 Tire LT265/75R16 123/120R

They rode nice and were quiet and have very good reviews on the WalMart site.

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Dextero-D...-120R/21607861

Seems to be a decent road tire for not a lot of money.

I really liked Nitto Dura Grapplers, highway terrain is what they are listed for. Found them to have good traction as well as lasted more than 1 year for me, only set of tires I had last over 1 year on my F350.

i will second the 285/75R16 AT 3's. the ones on the 02 have 45,000 miles on them and are still half tread left. the ones on the 04 only have 800 miles on them. when the 2014 needs tires, it is getting AT 3's also.

I had Michelin LTX on my SD and they were great. Very quiet, great dry and wet traction, good snow traction and wore like iron. If you don't need an A/T tire, get the LTX's

Michelins suck here in the northeast. they dry rot within 2 years, to the point they are dangerous to run on the road.
i have seen them with 1/4 inch deep cracks in the sidewalls on 28 month old tires.

I have always had the stock 265/75/16 tires on my truck until recently. A couple of months ago I decided to go to a bigger tire, 285/75/16 Toyo Open Country II and I love them!
Looks great and rides good, no noise and great traction.

The stock rims are pretty narrow, so I would not recommend going any larger than a 285. How do I know? I put 295 Toyo Open Countrys on my '03 and they were too wide for the rims.
