I had them on the Super Duty before I sold it.
Best 4x4 tire I have ever had... by far. They were used in very rough areas, and were the only 4x4 tire not to recieve a puncture from spinifex (grass that is that tough that rips most tires to shreds - no exaggeration).
Also had great traction in soft sand, over shale and rocks (with around 15lb in them).
Quiet on the highway too.
I genuinely couldn't recommend them enough, when the Michelins expire on the Ranger (which aren't bad tires too) - it will get a set of Cooper STT's too.
I notice that the ST is available in a 275-60-20 whereas my truck specs call for a 275-65-20 Can I get by with the 60 aspect ratio? What would be the downfalls?
You will reduce the overall diameter from 34.1" to 33". This will change your speedo by 3.1% which isn't that much. When your speedo reads 60mph you will be going 58.1mph. If it is a concern you can get your dealer to reprogram your PCM for the new tire size. Just give them the revs/mile for the tire you get.
I've been looking for a new tire to tryout, and been checking these out, haven't found anything bad written about them....I just wonder why they aren't sold in very many places? Discount Tire pretty much sells all brands, but these are considered a "special order" thru them.
I have allways had excellent performance from Cooper tires & really good service life! I have never known why they arent more popular, possibly they just dont spend so much on advertising? beacause the product is outstanding!
