In dash speaker question
So I'm going to be installing a single DIN sterio and installing door speakers, rear speakers and an all ib one amp / sub. Is there any way to keep the dash speaker connected properly if I replaced that as well? Or is that speaker just a loss by doing the others and not replace it and leave it disconnected? Thanks.

There are some companies out there that sell a dual, all in one L and R speaker that mounts in the stock speaker location.

I can see that when there are no other options, but Pink Floyd is never gonna sound right without stereo separation!

I'm a fan of two high quality door speakers. throw in a $80 amp and it will sound great.

Years ago when I was into car audio, I would wire up the dash speaker as a center channel. It really improves the sound stage. Just ignore the whole + and - label for the center speaker. You just hook up one wire to the + of the left channel and the other to the + of the right channel. It doesn't really matter which wire goes to which side. It looks weird but it works. It blends the left and right sound and gives you a cheap surround sound kind of experience.

Has anyone found a straight replacement for the dash speaker in these trucks? I'm not going crazy with the audio system and have just used 5" kickers in the doors with a retro sound radio. Would like to round out the system and fill this hole. Anyone done this? Any help appreciated!
As stated above, use one of these dual speakers. I did one in my truck, and combined with 2 door speakers it sounds as good as I need it to.
