Looking for part 19B762...

... it's the A/C Heater shroud (box) to firewall gasket/seal

Other than a very expensive option on ebay, I'm coming up short finding any parts related to the A/C Heater box... on either side of the firewall. Lots of cores, motors, clamps, connectors, etc. but none of the plastic shroud pieces...

NumberDummy?

You are on the right track but, that is not a part number but an illustration number that translates to a part number given a particular application.

... right... E5TZ-19B762... (thx Gary... couldn't find it in my parts catalog).
I've been searching for a source for the heater box shroud parts but nada. Meanwhile I did a search in the forum for the part and came up with a post from Bill that confirmed these parts are no longer avail.
Wonder why there aren't any of the A/C Heater box parts avail... Looks pretty universal.

Looks like I'll be cutting one from scratch...

A complete heater box? Or just the gasket?

Doesn't look like Dennis Carpenter, Bronco Graveyard, or NPD offer this seal. You'll have to make one or use something like seam sealer, urethane, RTV, etc. if NOS is unavailable or too expensive.

... just looking for the seal... but in searching, I didn't even find any of the plastic box parts either. I'd really expect LMC to have this stuff.

... right.
I've got a large swatch of 1/2" dense neoprene pad around here somewhere... fortunately, the part isn't too intricate.

The parts you asked about never ware out so why make extras?
I would give https://www.detroitmuscletechnologies.com/ a call if you don't see any thing on the web site as not everything is listed.

Also you may not get them when you call as I think this is a side buss. for them so not at the phone waiting for calls.
They do have great products as I have used them when restoring the heater box for my 70 AMC Javelin, not listed on their site.

Also if you have the parts you can send them they will make them for you then they have the pattern for others and hear they give a discount if they do that.

Hope it works out for you.

BTW when I went to put mine back together the gasket looked pretty good so I reused it. I may have to go back in to check the defrost door hinge & make sure the vacuum motors work before I put the dash back in the truck and if it looks ?? I will worry then.

... I'm in that spot right now... getting ready to put the whole dash back together. I'm glad I checked the vacuum system back there... found a split line (the master feed line!) so I'm replacing that one. I was pleasantly surprised that the motors tested fine... despite how old and rusted they look from the outside (especially the one in the engine bay )

but my box to firewall gasket is pretty compromised. The previous owner had to add a generous glop of sealant around most of it to seal it up!

Fixed it for you, because...you omitted the suffix.
Applications: 1980/86 F100/350 & Bronco with factory installed integral A/C or with Hi/Lo Comfort Vent System.

No Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.

Theres one of these seals for sale on Ebay for $229. Ouch.

GENUINE FORD OEM SEAL E7TZ-19B762-A / E7TZ19B762A | eBay

OTHER option is I just made one of these with the BIG help of member here, rbond. He sent me his along with a drawing that he printed, cut out and test fit on his box. I had a steel rule die tool made to be able to die cut them from a med-soft automotive spec EPDM foam rubber. I shipped to rbond who test and confirmed the fit.

I'd be interested in making complete heater box rebuild kits (kind of my niche/specialty) IF I could find both an AC and Non AC heater box from an 80-86 truck.

Quick introduction, I make body gaskets, body gasket sets, heater box rebuild kits, rubber under fender splash shields, etc for muscle cars. Mainly Mopars but I dig all old cars and trucks. I try to help with stuff thats needed but not being made anymore. Had a guy in LA call a few months back and needed a AC heater box rebuild kit for a 67 Galaxie he was having restored. I would have guessed everything was already being made for all Galaxies but I was wrong. So I located a couple boxes. Drove from Detroit to Pittsburgh to get them because they're so fragile. I made both the AC and Non AC kits. The resto shop that was doing the car said the were impressed with the quality of the kit. That makes the late night worthwhile. Oh, and to the guy above, and THANKS for the props, that said I'm hard to get ahold of and a side business, about a year and a half ago I quit my day job of 25 years as an industrial controls engineer (designing the electrical control systems and programming industrial automation and robots) to run our gasket business that I started during the Great Recession. After 10 years of working a full time day job and then working till 2AM every night I decided it was time. We'll never be a Year One or LMC but thats not my intention. I want to be intimately involved in making great, high quality products to fit the way I would expect when I open a package.

So if you have any of those heater boxes or need any body gaskets, heater box rebuild items, rubber splash shields, etc touch base.

Thanks!
