93 f150 alignment probs

I have an extended can 4x4 with a lift kit I just bought.I cant tell howw high or what kind of kit is on it but the front tires seem to be out of camber and it tends to veer all over the road. Its not too bad but isnt too steady. How can I tell what size lift is on it, and how do I adjust the tires.Does it need a drop pitman arm?I would like to replace the shocks with some ranchos but have to figure out what size the lift is.Also, if I make a sharp turn the tires rub hard.Their only 33x12.5.Please help me!

The tires are rubbing on the radius arm, that's not going to break anything but just don't turn the wheel all the way and let it rub if you can help it. Did you check to see if it already has a dropped pitman arm, it should. The stock one is fairly straight. Measure from the top of the rim to the bottom of the fender (that will neglect tire size) on a stock F-150 the front is about 12.5 and the rear is about 14ish on a 4wd truck.

exactly where is the radius arm and what should it look like?If I dont have a drop pitman arm, would this cure the camber and the rubbing?

No it will not cure the rubbing or camber, it will fix the angles of the steering tie rods which will improve steering and extend the life of parts. I don't know why there wouldn't be a drop pitman arm, they come in a lift kit you don't buy them separately, unless whoever just didn't install it but...I don't see why they wouldn't. The radius arm is the arm that goes from a bracket on the frame under the door to the axle. It prevents forwards and backward movement of the axle. You can only cure that rubbing by getting rims with a different backspacing and/or possibly some extended radius arms with a bend in them like I have.

I looked un the truck and I do believe there is a drop pitman arm cause it is a bent piece and not straight that looks like it goes to the tie rods.Do you guys think that some extended radius arms would work? How much are they and where can I get em?

Dadadadaahhhh!!!!! Have you taken it to an alignment shop yet I dont think radius arms would affect your camber. More likely your caster. Camber has to be corrected with different degree camber bushing/sleave thingies the adjustable ones are really nice. As for the lift size, what do the tires look like on the truck? If they just barley fit in there(ie, stuffed) then it might be a 2 or so inch leveling kit. If they seem to "look right" and "fit nice" then i'd say its a 4 inch lift. At 6 inches of lift the tires start to seem pretty small in the wheel well, and as for 8 inches....well, no ones retartded enough to put 8 inches and 33" tires. Off the record, i'd say its a 4 inch lift with 33 inch tires.
