Ordered a 17 250 cclb with the 6.2 in white gold. Picked her up tonight. My issue is the driver side rear door is almost touching cab at lower part of door. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
There were some early reports of some not-so-perfectly adjusted doors. Word was to just take it back to the dealer and they can adjust the door mounting to fix it up. Supposedly it's something the dealers should check when they do their PDI - ford slaps the doors on, and if they close it's close enough.. dealers are there to provide that last little adjustment..
My passenger door was not flush with the body panels at the bottom of the door. It was protruding outward, My dealer told me that the door is not adjustable in that manner. They tried to manipulate it but only made a little difference.
I have the same issue. Apparently i'm the only person who notices it. Drives me crazy every time I look at my driver door. I haven't yet made it a priority but the first time the truck goes to the dealer for anything I will have it looked at and see what they say. I will be upset if they tell me there is nothing I can do and I have to live with this cattywampus door.

I don't know if it is different in states but in Canada PDI means they took the plastic off the seats and filled it with gas. A very basic walk around after coming off the truck.
I asked my dealer how they missed the color difference in the bed of the truck and roof on inspection. They said did not look at the truck that closely.

It's adjustable. There's no adjustable linkage or anything like that. You gotta bend the hinges just the right way. And you gotta know WTF you're doing.
I've seen it done.
Not on a new car. As usual, I could be wrong. But I'd look into it.
Mine were a little off (nothing like the nonsense above). I took it to the dealer's body shop and in 15 mins they look perfect. I have an early truck from 9-14 delivery.
Don't fix yourselves. Take to the dealer and let them do it. I realize that may be easier said than done because some of you work and have to make arrangements. I learned along time ago not to pickup a new vehicle after dark. It make it a bit difficult to inspect it. Don't take anything for granted that you're going to get a perfect truck.

Drives me crazy to. I'll have it looked at next time I'm in. Don't have high hopes though.
Seems Ford is having a tough time working with aluminum, getting excellent shapes and fits.
It's the same exact cab as on the F-150. And they have few problems.
The striker is adjustable. At least, on the older ones it was. Tailgate strikers, too. Looks like it's just a Torx head (you can use vise grips, too...... But be careful). Be careful. I've had the female end of the equation, inside the door frame, fall down into the body of the cab.
That sucks. Bad. There also should be a plastic covering around the striker that sometimes goes south. That can be a real pain because you gotta take the striker off and the unimaginable can happen -- The female end falls down.
So don't loosen the striker all the way.
Unless things have changed. Maybe the other end isn't left to flop in the breeze like it used to be.
I don't like messing with them. But it can be done.
