1978 F150
Hi guys, My question is someone asked me if I want the 1978 Ford F150 that given to them and been sitting on their property for years. I guess the new engine they put in they never got it running. So, it has new engine, but...hoping they didn't kill the new engine somehow. Straight body, no rust. Paint needs to be sanded looks like the used a spray can to paint over the original cream color (or so it looks). Needs windshield, new dash because its cracked from the sun. Other then all the stuff listed it look like it could be a really cool truck. Could it be something that would be worth restoring? Could it be a truck just to flip to someone that would love to restore an old Ford? What are your thoughts..........Thank you

Is this a gift? Offer to sell? Do you happen to already have a similar truck and need parts?
Most importantly, do you have a place to park it, until it's running (or parted out, or sold), that isn't in the way of anything in particular your SO might need?

Heck yea get it is you can and like Filthy B said do you have a place to park it? Also get the title if you can and get a "gift" bill of sale.
New dash "pad" or just get a cheap carpet dash cover..I'd see it it runs before you do anything else $ wise.

Free trucks are like ...well free beer, do not complain about the brand, if its free. I would not take a free chebby though.
