3 on the Tree help
hello, I have a 1973 F250 with a 360 3speed. I really don't see much info on the 3speed and know VERY little about it. I lightly rest-modded the truck and have most everything worked out. Now it's time to step up the motor. I'm putting an FE back in but it's going to have more power. I'm looking for any help as to the best clutch set up and even any ideas on rebuilding it to handle more power. I'm not looking to drag race or really bang gears but it be fun to roll a 2nd to 3rd pull. I have a stock 3.90 Dana 60 posi now in the rear.
As as I said I know very little about these transmission s and if I hear they can't handle 300hp I'll have to revaluate but I love shifting on the colounm. It's just different. Thank you for any help

3.03 should be fully synchronized forward, same basic transmission went in a slew of different fords, some GM cars from the 60s and GM trucks in the late 70s. I think the trans for fe motors had a larger input shaft.
