TPS adjustment?
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 23-Nov-01 AT 10:53 PM (EST)]ok i fond the tps on my 89(under the throttle body) my brother inlaw put a scanner on my truck because the check engine was on, it said TPS out of range and there issomething wrong with my EGR so we are goin to fix that tommarow, already have a new TPS but i saw somewhere that if u adjust it to .9-.97 that the truck will have more power, is this true? a guy that i worked with said he did that to his mustang and that it helped.

TPS adjustment?
The best way to adjust them is scribe a mark before you remove an adjustable Tps . Try this , KOEO , Measure the voltage at the thottle position wire (GY/W Wire ) & the Signal Return Wire ( GY/R ) . With the throttle closed the min voltage should be 0.20 , wide open throttle the voltage should be 4.84 volts .
