So I recently picked up a 1960 f250 4x4. But here's my issues.... #1 transfer case shifter linkage. I have none. Issue #2 vin tag says truck is 2wd clearly isn't. And #3 did a 1960 4x4 f250 come in a custom cab wrap around window? Yes I know this is a lot to ask at once....
I am not 100% sure on this but from looking at similar posts, the model # should be F280 to be a 4 wheel drive. It's possible the body may be sitting on a different frame. Check the vin # on the top of the frame on the passenger side above the front spring close to the rear spring hanger to see if it matches the vin plate and title. Also pics of the truck would be helpful.
Definitely a 1960 but hard to tell if it is stock from that pic.
Pictures of the suspension, axles, steering box and motor would be helpful.
What motor and transmission are in the truck as far as you know?
From these pics it appears to be the correct frame and suspension.
It might be a '59 or '60 4x4 frame with a 2WD body.
You'll have to find the vin# on the frame to know for certain.
Here is a screen shot from my Ford catalog it shows Model F253 as 1960 F250 4x4. with GVW 7400. Came from the factory that way, Ford first offered factory 4x4 in 1959

so according to the chart your truck is a factory 4x4. The #F280 I found is for '59 F250 4WD '60 is F253 which matches the model # on your rating plate.
