Air Cleaner Replacement

I first tried adding on the second snorkel to the OEM air filter that did not work out.
Since the OEM snorkels tubes slop down wards, plus it came in contact with the valve cover oil fill cap on the left.
The mustang dual air filter I tried the an the housing snorkel tubes our to long an droop way down an come in contact with the valve covers.
My air filer housing came from 5.0 truck 80's or early 90's.
Now mine did not come with the Short dual intake snorkels
As, I bagged them off a different model of engine an added them.

Yup custom made, the rear has a vacuum door that opens an closes with high & low vacuum.
And yes, I cut the drivers side snorkel hole an added the short snorkel as well on the passenger side adding the short snorkel to it also.
I think, I got the shout snorkel off a Fox body 4cyl car as, I can't remember for sure any longer CRS is taking over my mine!!
By using the short snorkels lets me use the flex tubing to rout it up an over the oil filler cap.

jas88, if you meant this to me, I was able to make the stock air cleaner work with the spacers. Sorry

The chevy trucks use a oem air filter housing spacer for those who don't want or like using a carb spacer.
So with a little Fab work you could use the Chevy one that may be less work vers. then the carb spacer.
