Maybe I'll have to have you run an oasis report or two for me in the next few months.

I've got the truck loaded up, kayak in the bed. Should be a nice weekend to be outdoors. Enjoy it guys.

I am hiding out in near the beach in RI where it's been pretty nice so far. A good breeze has kept things comfortable.

I actually look forward to it. Doesn't help that Buffy at the NB courthouse is smoking hot.

My old one is 1L34-2C346-AA F150
Is there a seperate part # on the actual HCU block? I know the top part is good....I have 2 of them doing the same thing. I have had the pedal fade for almost 4 yrs now. I did the paper clip check on the ports and its definetly bypassing the rear ports.......almost like I have no rear brakes at all...that how it feels

Evening guys, I've been all over the place the last few weeks. And by that I mean drove to Nevada, and flew back home and am about to make the last trip across the country soon!

This morning I went to Maine to pickup an enclosed trailer, its a 7x14 EZ hauler by mission, all aluminum, radial tires, extrea height interior, 1500lb capacity ramp door. Made the decision to get a brand new trailer, just have to far to go to mess around with something old.

Thing absolutely kills the gas mileage of my truck though! I get about 16-17 empty but towing this parachute, I only got a little over 9 driving 65-70 with the AC cranked even though the trailer only weight 1480lbs!

It's incredible the amount of drag it creates, even with the sloped Vnose, behind a semi you're decent but go to pass and you're not drafting anymore, it's like someones stepping on the brakes.

I think what I am going to do before the cross country trip is plugs, oil & filter change, air filter change, and also see if I can find a set of wheels and tires that are OEM size, im currently one tire size bigger than stock and you can tell it's heavier on the drivetrain. Also, premium gas should help, I could feel the detonation running regular. I've usually had good results with using premium in the past when this occurs.

If I stay around 60 mph with all that, if I could manage 12mpg, that would be fantastic. I don't want to do 3100 miles only getting 8-9mpg haha

That is the correct part number for the HCU. The ECU is 6L3Z2C219C now after over a decade of part super sessions.

It's all nice and shiny new aluminum, for now

I looked on craigslist today and found a set of stock wheels with the correct size tire on them. Went to waterbury to buy them, tire's are pretty much brand new, doesn't look like there's more than a few thousand miles on them. Got the whole set for $400 bucks, I should be able to resell them for that or more once I complete my trip. I got back home and put them onto my truck, the power is more easily available now since it's not turning those oversize tires I had. I'll put my regular set back on once I make it to nevada. This should hopefully make the towing easier and get me some MPG back!

I've gotta build a little flap for the ramp of the trailer so I can push my tool box in tomorrow. Gonna go look at getting some etrack for the trailer as well
