Getting new batteries: what should I expect?
When I return from being out of the country for a couple months in July, I plan to replace the OEM batteries in my 2013 F250 with DieHard AGM batteries. Whether they replace or I do it, what should I expect other than setting the clock? It's an XLT with the basic display.

The rule of thumb is to replace both batteries at the same time. There is no written rule that I am aware that you should disconnect both batteries prior to replacing them. The consensus for disconnecting negatives on both batteries is to prevent shorting the positive cable of either battery as you replace them separately. If you protect the positive cable of the battery being replaced so it doesn't short out, then there should be no problems.
You use to be able to buy an adapter to use a 9volt battery to plug into the cig/power port to give enough voltage to avoid lose of presets and such. With as much electronics on the newer vehicles, not sure if this works now or now.
